    Hi I have fault f-28 how can I fix this

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA
      @SEWEurodriveUSA День тому

      Hello. An F28 is somewhat of a common fault. This happens with the upper level fieldbus or PLC has stopped communicating over the network to the Movidrive fieldbus option card. This could happen from opening the PLC program and pushing an update which would stop the fieldbus communication during the update. Or it could be from a disconnected cable. It could happen with incorrect address settings as well. If nothing has been changed then the powering off the Movidrive for 60 seconds. Then powering back on the Movidrive is something you can try to re-establish communication back to the upper level fieldbus/PLC. You can view a list of fault codes on the Movidrive B and possible causes at this link here on starting on page 684. download.sew-eurodrive.com/download/pdf_u/27793230.pdf If you would rather speak to someone on the phone about this fault below is a link to find your nearest SEW office. You will need to ask for Electrical Support when calling in. www.sew-eurodrive.de/meta-pages/contacts_worldwide.html

    Is it possible to extract the .IPC file from the drive if we don't have it?

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA
      @SEWEurodriveUSA 9 днів тому

      Hello. There are several file types with the IPOS program on a Movidrive B. The ".IPC" file is a single IPOS program file that is uncompiled in C language. There is also the ".ICP" extension (C & P reversed) that is an IPOS Project file with potentially multiple files linked inside of it such as a ".H" header file and maybe others. Both of these are uncompiled versions. There is no way to extract the uncompiled code from the Movidrive B because it only stores the compiled "Assembler" language on the inverter during the download. You can extract the "Assembler" code and save it as a ".AS0" file extension on your computer but this will be in Assembly language and not the easiest to interpret. If you know who the Manufacturer of the equipment was or have contact with the prior programmer you can request a copy of the uncompiled code if they still have it. That would be the only way to get the uncompiled code is if someone has maintained a file backup of it.

    Hello. I have a problem with uploading files from my computer to the inverter. I do the upload unit to pc. Then I reset the inverter to factory settings. And when I do the download pc to unit I lose the signature. It says unamed below. What am I doing wrong?

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA
      @SEWEurodriveUSA 9 днів тому

      Hi. After a factory reset it is normal for the Movidrive to show "[Unnamed]". You can see this happen at 24:40 of this video. When you go to download PC --> Unit the file you have backed up may not have a name associated with it. As long as the backup file you are using is the correct one, you can manually add back the correct name after the download PC --> Unit is complete. Right-click on the Network and re-scan it to confirm you are communicating from the PC to the Movidrive. Then right-click on the Movidrive, go to "Properties.." at the bottom of the menu. Then type in the name it should be then press "OK" to save the name. If you want to check if the file you have backed up is downloading correctly to the Movidrive you can use the Comparison tool for this. You'll need select the Movidrive in the Network tree. Right-click on it then choose "Comparison (Online)" at the top of the menu. Then choose Source 1 and Source 2 as one being the online Movidrive, and the other source being the file (.vd0 or .mdx extension) on the PC. Then click "Compare" to determine if there are any differences in the backup on the PC versus the parameters in the online Movidrive. If you are still having an issue with the name you can contact your local SEW office and ask for Electrical Support so they can discuss with you further about this. What about holding registers?

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA
      @SEWEurodriveUSA 12 днів тому

      Hello. The Movitrac LTP-B does support Modbus RTU with register functions if that is what your question was about. Here is the excerpt from the manual about it: "The inverters support communication via Modbus RTU. Use the function "Read Holding Register (03)" for reading and the function "Write Single Register (06)" for writing. The function "Write Multiple Register (16)" is also available for PO data words 1-5." This is explained on pages 217 - 219 of the manual linked here: download.sew-eurodrive.com/download/pdf_u/31554814.pdf The Modbus RTU setup parameters start back on page 213. If you need to speak with someone on the phone about this you can contact your nearest SEW office at this link and ask for Electrical Support when calling in. www.sew-eurodrive.de/meta-pages/contacts_worldwide.html

    Hi i have a fault 86 , memory module

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA
      @SEWEurodriveUSA 12 днів тому

      Hello. The fault 86 indicates that the Movidrive doesn't detect the red colored memory module on the top of the inverter control section. This module has a "stop sign" logo printed on it. This can come from the memory module being removed and turning the inverter on. Or from a hardware issue. If you can confirm that the memory module is installed and you still get the fault after cycling the voltage. Then the other things you can try are to factory default the parameters and then reload them from a previous backup (this is best done with the MotionStudio software, and you must have a known good backup of the parameters before setting it to a default condition). Or you can send the Movidrive in for Electronic Evaluation to see if it can be repaired by SEW. Hello @karimtech1343. There is not a flashing fault F02 for the MDX61B Movidrive B. If the 7-segment display is showing a 'solid' number 2 that indicates that the Movidrive is missing the 'Enable' signal. This is a normal condition to see while the Movidrive is operating. Encoderless servomotor ? Something like waterless water i guess.

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA
      @SEWEurodriveUSA 2 місяці тому

      Hi @vladoovg. Permanent magnet servomotors are preferred for applications requiring faster running speeds, precise positioning or higher starting torque from standstill. So if the application doesn't require the precision of encoder feedback for positioning but the application specifically needs a fast speed or higher starting torque. An encoderless servomotor could be an option to consider and save the cost of the encoder if it isn't needed. I hope this helps understand the purpose of an encoderless servomotor.

    • @vladoovg
      @vladoovg 2 місяці тому

      @@SEWEurodriveUSA I must respectfully disagree with the use of the term 'encoderless servomotor.' By definition, a servo motor operates within a closed-loop system that requires feedback from a sensor, typically an encoder. This feedback is crucial as it enables real-time monitoring and adjustment of the motor’s position, speed, and torque. Without this feedback, the motor cannot be classified as a true servo motor.The term 'servo' inherently implies 'feedback-controlled,' and removing the encoder eliminates the closed loop, effectively rendering it a standard induction or synchronous motor, even if it employs advanced control methods. While some sensorless technologies can mimic servo behavior, they do not fulfill the complete requirements of a servo system in the strictest sense. Additionally, while EMF control can be utilized by frequency drives to manage motor performance, this alone does not qualify the motor as a servo motor. Furthermore, the use of terms like 'encoderless servomotor' can sometimes be misleading and is driven by marketing strategies to appeal to a broader audience. It’s important to maintain clarity in terminology to avoid confusion and to ensure that users understand the actual capabilities and limitations of the technology they are considering. In summary, without an encoder or another form of feedback, we cannot accurately refer to a motor as a servo motor.

    can we programm that vfd without usb11A?

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA
      @SEWEurodriveUSA 3 місяці тому

      @muhammadrafianazim2468. Hello. It is potentially possible to commission the Movidrive MDX61B inverter without the USB11A. If the Movidrive is connected to the fieldbus you could use an RJ45 ethernet cable for example. However, if you only have the DBG60B keypad it will be very limited in the options and motor types you can commission only using the DBG60B keypad. If you wish to do IPOS programing you must have the USB or Ethernet fieldbus option to connect the PC to the Movidrive. The USB11A part number: 08248311 has been discontinued (but works fine for Movidrive B if you can locate one) and it now is replaced by the USM21A part number: 28231449. Which works for the Movidrive B and new MOVI-C devices. Here is our UA-cam video showing how to use the DBG60B keypad on the Movidrive B. ua-cam.com/video/tYWwhtpcRmE/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA
      @SEWEurodriveUSA 3 місяці тому

      Hello @jkavillan. In this situation it may be challenging to manually move the application since the fault is limiting the axis to operate. You can attempt to connect a PC to the Movidrive B and operate it manually from the software but it may still continue to fault and inhibit the ability to manually operate it. Watch the Session 6 Lab 4 video on manual operation starting at minute 17 30. ua-cam.com/video/s8044Q3Cs6M/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared&t=1050 If it continues to fault in manual operation you may have to re-commission the Movidrive parameters to deactivate the encoder settings so it is ignored by the Movidrive. This process may be very tricky to do without help from SEW-Eurodrive since you will need to backup the parameters before making any large parameter changes like that, and encoders can be connected in several different ways to the Movidrive. Please contact your nearest SEW-Eurodrive office and ask for Electrical Support so they can talk with you about this situation. www.sew-eurodrive.de/meta-pages/contacts_worldwide.html

    Hello, I have an issue with a drive. I cannot figure out how it gets the ccw or reverse direction. It is a compiler based and is all fieldbus communications. Is the set point possibility supposed to be negative? I know parameters 35 is for switching direction. Bit we have another machine that uses this drive and that parameter doesn't change.

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA
      @SEWEurodriveUSA 3 місяці тому

      @tonybischoff3608. That is hard to say without seeing the parameters/IPOS program. Generally, for fieldbus control the speed or position setpoint is a signed integer (i.e. negative/positive depending on direction of travel). If it is only a jog mode control then possibly there are separate bits or inputs for the CW vs CCW directions. You can look at parameter P100 & P101 to see where the Movidrive is looking for the setpoints. Also, in MotionStudio there is a tab for "IPOS Information" above the "0.. Display Values" parameter folder. Click on that and view the text box to see if it is one of SEW's Application Modules or if it is a custom IPOS program. Our phone support is free if you would like to call your nearest SEW office and ask for Regional Engineering - Electrical Support. They can provide you with an email as well so they can inspect the parameters while you're on the phone. www.seweurodrive.com/contact_us/find_cs_sales_distributors/sales_default_nmc.html

    is it normal to have oil leak from oil seal?

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA
      @SEWEurodriveUSA 4 місяці тому

      @RideWithAnthony it is not normal for an oil seal to leak. Oil seals are wear items and parts of the gearmotor that need to be replaced when the time is due. The length of time the seal will last depends on several factors such as operating environment, shaft speed, oil type, and any external debris contacting the seal surface. If you find a unit with a leaking seal it should be replaced. If you provide your local SEW-Eurodrive customer service with the S.O.# from the gearmotor nameplate they can provide you with the part number and type of seal you need to use to replace it. Hello @asharsaeed1880. We do not have any training videos for the Movitrac MC07B inverter. However, it is almost identical to the Movidrive MDX61B in how you commission and change the parameters. The biggest differences are that the MC07B will use a different wiring diagram, and the keypad is different. If the inverter shows 24V on the display and you have 480V switched on then possibly the STO ("Safe Torque Off") X17 jumper plug on the bottom of the inverter is not installed. Could you include a link to your website where we can download the GSD files we see in use in this video? I have tried contacting SEW directly for assistance in finding the proper GSD file for these drives and have had lackluster responses. Thanks.

      Hello. Thank you for letting us know we didn't have links in the description box. Do you know which devices you specifically have so we can see if there is a GSD or GSDML file available for it? Here are some direct links to our website for the list of GSD and GSDML files. There are many options shown so you'll have to carefully examine the list to find your model type with the correct fieldbus type it uses. Click the "arrow" on the left to expand the item to show the download button. GSDML Files for PROFINET: www.seweurodrive.com/os/dud/?tab=software&country=US&language=en_us&software_group=17 GSD Files for PROFIBUS: www.seweurodrive.com/os/dud/?tab=software&country=US&language=en_us&software_group=6

      Hello. Here is the link to the Movidrive B System Manual in English below. You can do a factory reset using parameter P802 and set it to "Delivery State". Just know that it will delete everything. So you would need to back up any IPOS programs or parameters first before doing the delivery state. There is no final warning when you change P802 to "Delivery State". download.sew-eurodrive.com/download/pdf_u/27793230.pdf
